Shawn T. Shallow

The Wisconsin born author left the world of corporate banking to take a position in a small Alabama town. There he became close friends with his Dixie born neighbors who shared insights into their town’s unique role in several national events. This is the first book in a series featuring a sleuth who uncovers local mysteries tied to these pivotal events in US history.

Shawn received his BS and MBA from Marquette University which evolved into a banking career. To fund college, Shawn enlisted as a Petty Officer in the US Coast Guard Reserve where he obtained a love for maritime history. Shawn’s first Book, Rescue at the Top of the World, recreated a key maritime disaster following two years of research into century old vessel logs and diaries. This work was subsequently featured annually on the History Channel, which led to becoming a maritime lecturer on various US cruise lines.

Shawn still works in banking and currently lives with his wife Margaret in Birmingham, AL. From there, they travel frequently to visit friends in Leighton, AL, where they collect insights for the mystery series.

His cats, Baxter and Lillie, along with the neighbor’s dogs, Houdini and Sugar Ray, actively provide material for the series.
